- Your pregnancy and health data is stored encrypted on your phone and, if you like, in your own iCloud account; we can't access it.
- Meyu has no accounts and we have no servers; we don't use any advertising tools or tools that track how you use the app.
- Apple handles payment; to verify Premium, an anonymous identifier and purchase information go to RevenueCat, never your health data.
Who we are
Meyu is an iOS app developed by Yusuf Yılmaz. This policy explains how your data is handled when you use Meyu. You can send your questions to destek@gebeliktakibi.com.
Where your data is stored
Everything you enter in Meyu is stored on your phone, encrypted with iOS data protection:
- Pregnancy details: first day of your last period, estimated due date, your baby's name and details
- Measurements: water, caffeine, weight, blood pressure, blood sugar, kick and contraction records
- Appointments, notes, journal entries, photos and the lab documents you upload
With iCloud sync on (the default), the same data is also stored in the private area of your own iCloud account through Apple's iCloud service, so it comes back when you change phones or reinstall the app. You can turn sync off at any time with the Sync with iCloud switch in Profile. This data is never sent to us; the iCloud copy belongs to your Apple Account and no one, including the Meyu team, can see it.
Purchase information
Apple processes payments; your card details never reach us. To check whether you have Premium, Meyu uses the RevenueCat service. Each time the app opens, it sends RevenueCat:
- An anonymous app identifier created on your device (not your name or email)
- Technical details: your App Store country, device model, iOS and app version, language and a device identifier Apple assigns to our apps (not the advertising identifier)
- If you buy Premium, the product, your subscription status and dates; RevenueCat shows us these purchases as anonymous statistics
Your health and pregnancy data is never sent to RevenueCat. RevenueCat processes this information only on our behalf and protects it to the same standard as this policy; see the RevenueCat privacy policy for details.
What we don't collect
We don't collect your name, email address (unless you write to us), location or advertising identifier. Meyu has no accounts, and there are no advertising tools or tools that track how you use the app.
Permissions
- Notifications: medication and appointment reminders and the daily message from your baby are created on your phone; no data is sent anywhere.
- Camera, photos and microphone: only the photo or document you choose is accessed, and the microphone is used only while you record a voice note in your journal; your files stay with you.
- Calendar: when you add an appointment, iOS's own screen opens; Meyu does not read your calendar.
Sharing
We never sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone beyond the purchase check described above. If you want to share a record with your doctor, you can export it as a PDF and send it yourself however you like.
Retention and deletion
Your data stays on your phone and (with sync on) in your iCloud account until you use Profile > Permanently delete all data; this also deletes the iCloud copy. Deleting the app does not delete the iCloud copy: when you reinstall, you can restore your data or erase it with "Start fresh". You can also delete the iCloud copy from the iCloud storage section of your iPhone's Settings. If device backups are turned on, your data may be included in Apple's encrypted device backups.
Your rights under KVKK and GDPR
Under Article 11 of Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, where applicable, the EU GDPR, you have the right to learn whether your data is processed, to request correction or deletion, and to object. Because your health data exists only on your device and in your iCloud account, you manage it directly; you can send requests about your purchase information to destek@gebeliktakibi.com.
International transfers
RevenueCat, used to verify purchases, has servers outside Türkiye (in the USA). This transfer is limited to the anonymous identifier, technical details and purchase information described above. With iCloud sync on, your data is stored on Apple's servers under your iCloud agreement with Apple; Meyu cannot access it.
Children's privacy
Meyu is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
When we update this policy, we'll change the date on this page and announce important changes in the app.
